This product works great. I put it directly in the pool and then add about 5-6 lbs. of chlorinating granules. Then brush it thoroughly. I live in the northeast and we have a lot of acid rain which is one cause of pink algae, and this is the only product I see available to fight it. Pool is clear in 1-2 days.
